Exclusivity and creativity.
Plintendecor carries an exclusive collection of profiles and decorative elements from the brands Art Decor, Mardom Decor, Grand Decor and Tesori for decorating interiors (ceiling, walls, floor). You can come to us for a wide range of decorative moldings, cornices, ornaments, rosettes, skirting boards, door moldings and lighting systems from the more luxurious segment. So diverse, beautiful and applicable in any interior. All decorative elements are made of the highest quality materials: polyurethane and HDPS (duropolymer). Excellent technical characteristics make the products durable, easy to install and resistant to external influences. In contrast to MDF profiles, all products are also resistant to moisture and water.
Which material is better?
It all depends on the type of moulding you need.
PolyForce (HDPS) is considered a better material for skirting boards due to its greater density and resistance to damage. Skirting boards are exposed to many challenges, including vacuuming or splashing. PolyForce is an extremely durable material and at the same time completely waterproof.
For wall and ceiling moldings (especially in large sizes) we focus on the material Polyurethane, which is mainly characterized by lightness. This type of moulding is hung at height, so you have to be sure that the weight of the moulding does not affect adhesion to the substrate. Polyurethane is also a durable and waterproof material, but ceiling and wall moldings do not require special protection such as skirting boards. They are a bit softer, so it is possible to make deep decorations on them.
Can the mouldings be painted?
Both PolyFoce and Polyurethane moldings are provided with a white primer with leveling properties that facilitate the absorption of subsequent paint layers. This means that both materials can be successfully painted in any color and the primer used will facilitate the perfect distribution and absorption of the paint. However, remember to paint the baseboards with water-based paint (no solvents).
ScratchShield technology
Skirting boards face many daily challenges. That is why Mardom Decor has developed the innovative ScratchShield technology, which consists of the extreme hardening of the plinth. The difference is huge and noticeable when you try to scratch the baseboard with a sharp tool. The hardness of skirting boards with ScratchShield technology is 24% greater than that of standard competitor skirting boards. The hardness measurement is carried out with a durometer and expressed on the Shore scale.
